Accessible, deep and fun. The saga comes to PS Vita without big surprises but always quality. Surely if we have to choose one of the games "covered" if we consider the saga known as non-catalog of PlayStation Home Vita, that would be Everybody's Golf. It is this action game with stunning graphics, it is not too popular sports franchise in the West, and have not even done a particularly innovative use of touch of the new console. And yet it is one of the most addictive games of the notebook that just shifting sure your other purchases on the back burner for a long time. First, we must recognize that we are not big fans of the sport. We know the basic rules to follow but we are far different golf events, and the last news we had of Tiger Woods had trouble relating to their fiery wedlock. Everybody's Golf instead of PS Vita arrives looking as Japanese, almost childlike, which is impossible not to adore. Delivery before us is very similar to others that you had on PSP or PlayStation 3. In fact, maybe that is all you can roll back: just have innovations, it is more of a review of something powered portable titles here and there through the power of PS Vita. I do not really take it as a major flaw: it's a sports game, and within that freedom takes the saga of Clap Hanz, the rules can not be changed. In exchange for its creators guarantee you the same fun as ever, alone or in competition, in a launch title of the notebook. After starting the game we have several options for single or multiplayer, as well as customization. If we start giving out unlocked characters, at first only available a boy and a girl. Its parameters are somewhat different so soon we will start taking the decision of which is our favorite for tournaments. We also have a store of clothes and accessories to dress the characters, but to purchase these supplements will have to play and earn points, so it will be a section that will visit later, after winning a few tournaments. In the main single player mode there are three options, Challenge, which is important, and then travels freely stroke and practice which leaves us repeat strokes, character and team change at any time, etc.. If we start the challenges, we have at our disposal several tournaments of nine and eighteen holes. Everybody's Golf has a very comfortable learning curve, which gives you confidence from the first moment we won the tournament for the first but it is a deep and more serious than it seems, were last in the second match . At no time did we feel "cheated" at the end of the day not compete against an artificial intelligence here is you, your club and the ability to circumvent the dangers of the green, which always makes you want to beat your personal bests.
If you really do not know what a bogey, bunker-applied to golf, or any of those words you'll hear a lot in your career with the game, you have access to aid in the digital game manual. It will be useful because before stepping on grass you choose is a very special club, for beginners-balls and swing-striking techniques. The game has several ways to hit the ball, which is done with a force gauge and one for the right time of impact. The force is easy: press X with increasing power up anywhere you want, that of the beating can be represented in various ways, and we would have liked a circle which reduces the size of the ball. If you hit before the right time, is represented by a rabbit icon, if later, with a turtle, and that means the ball will deviate slightly. You also have different effects of swing: low trajectories, side effects or reverse direction. It is harder to explain than to play as it comes down to press the button at the right time and take into account distance, wind, terrain or obstacles, trying to get the ball into the hole in the fewest strokes possible. In the firing position can turn a little direction because sometimes the straight line to the hole is not ideal, some trees may divert the flight of the ball, or perhaps end up in one of the bunkers, a downward slope and even a lake. You have several types of camera to study the play, which is very useful near the hole, when intelligence matters more than brute force. A view from various angles add a PS Vita own, with the console becomes something like a video camera, as if you were watching the scene by the player: thanks to motion sensors, you can lift the laptop, look down, to heaven, and see the countryside around you, observing more precisely the distance or terrain. This is perhaps the most interesting addition to the characteristics of Vita, even without a real impact on gameplay.
Speaking of the special features of Vita, one thing we liked is that being a game with so much information on screen, there are times it is a chaos of data and options-we can use the touch screen to make selections with the buttons lifetime. It is comfortable and makes browsing more fluid than in PSP. You can also move the ball from the release point on the screen by dragging or using the touch panel to calculate the distances in the field. Besides that, there is many more new turn except the character models in the selection screen, interact with critters the stage or the stage to shake the trees when you touch a finger, a curiosity that does not offer any advantage, you cannot cut down a forest to pave the road. As we played, we unlock a lot of content and pass levels. There are even different profiles caddy, the inseparable friend to take your clubs but also give moral support, regret your mistakes and you want the ball does not continue sliding in the wrong direction. In-game store there to buy these things with the points earned, even pictures or music. In short, it will cost quite a while to get everything, and if you intend to get the trophies, you will play for while. More game modes are probably the most fun you'll get long-term and multiplayer online. The first one up to eight PS Vita that are close, the online infrastructure includes 30 players and even a daily international tournament in the world rankings to compete with: compete in three challenges generated daily that you will play again to get your best classification and see the end of the day, your job. This mode can be a real drug that can release the game you want to keep your rank-and for that you need to play more and more. Return access to games room, a lobby to chat with other players through a custom avatar and message boards we create network scores on statistics of your days. Unfortunately we could not test these features since the time of analysis servers were not active, but we feel that will have far more success than the network game of deliveries for PSP.
The Everybody's Golf, as above, is a fun mix between simulation and arcade. There are special moves unrealistic, but also much calculus physics have also improved in this version: try to shoot from an area with tall grass and you'll notice the difference from other types of grass. And playing is easy, but getting an Albatross, a hole in less than three strokes of par or face indicators more complex fields with adverse weather is a challenge just for gamers. That is one of the strengths of the sport and Everybody's Golf: accessible to all people and as demanding as you want. You can just go tournaments with approved removing the ceiling ... or you can become the master of golf and the King of multiplayer. Whether you are someone who enjoys all golfers taking to the most aggressive in the competitive, the game has everything you could expect, but that is their main problem is not too surprising if you already have another Everybody in your collection. Although it is a remarkable game as playable, we have noticed the rush of development in two ways. The first is the aforementioned conservatism, which is not a big mistake because the series has always been excellent, the second detail is found in the charts, where the developer has improved the essentials to make the game look good but not great achievements. The character models are the best and do seem made for the occasion, perhaps from those made for PlayStation 3 with slight alterations, in any case well above what I could do PSP. The scenarios are instead more loosely, seem a remastered version with more resolution than that seen in Everybody's Golf Open Tee 2, with better textures, yes, certainly you will not see pixels like fists or areas of focus, and better water recreated, but somewhat soulless to what the new laptop is capable of. For example, when the camera takes a walk through the fields, the shadows of the trees are generated, which is a defect that sings a little, PSP permissible, but not in Vita. Fortunately, the definition makes all those saw teeth you could see on the old laptop distant objects are minimal, so overall it's a beautiful game, clear and with great animation, though it could have taken some steps in the technical.
The game is translated into spanish, but the voices are in English. No subtitles for the dialogue, but neither are many and are almost inconsequential, are only phrases that loose our caddy or the girl in the start menu as a welcome-but all the menus are in our language as well as aid and clarifications each object. The music is nice but does not stand out too much and after one hour continuous game can be repetitive. A Everybody's Golf will feel good about the handheld. The games do not last long, win or lose, and that makes the game very suitable for short sessions in any way. Add that has a lot to unlock, you learn to play easily but it takes to dominate, and that multiplayer will feel like a glove to the game and have one of the best golf title on any platform market. Bit revolutionary, but with the unquestioning addiction that provides the saga.
