Valve and Blizzard are Confronted the Name of DOTA
Blizzard and Valve are going to deal legally with the name DOTA (Defence of the Ancients). The term was coined for a mod that was popular in Warcraft 3, Blizzard. However, in 2010 Blizzard joined Valve to one of its creators and began working on DOTA 2. Shortly thereafter, Blizzard announced its own continuation of the original mod. Valve say in patent and trademark office granted the trademark "DOTA" why Blizzard has filed an appeal with the agency. Blizzard states that "in an attempt to register the mark DOTA, Valve seeks to appropriate more than seven years of work and good will with attested Blizzard has developed his game DOTA and Warcraft III and keep the name for themselves, a name that has been used to refer to a product for years." So they conclude that "Valve is not entitled to that record."
