ASSAULT RIFLES
Assault Rifles
Assault Rifles are available from the start for all classes. Soldiers are the only class that can use all kinds of weapons including Assault Rifles. This weapon can be used in short and long distance battle, depending on the situation. Assault Rifles are very effective to eliminate enemies quickly and have high rate of fire. This weapon is great for all classes, especially biotic and technology class.
Chakram Launcher (DLC)
EA announced on January 11, the crossover between Mass effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. If you play the demo Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will open up a few items in Mass effect 3 like armor and weapons. Playing the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur will lead to a Chakram Launcher weapon in Mass Effect 3. Chakram Launcher is known be an assault rifle.
Collector Assault Rifle (DLC)
The Dark Horse-published Art of the Mass Effect 3 Universe book includes in-game bonuses. Readers will earn themselves a DLC code for the Collector Assault Rifle, which also came as a bonus in the Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition. You can only score this PC and Xbox 360 exclusive weapon (and other unspecified content) by pre-ordering The Art of the Mass Effect Universe from Barnes & Noble before February 20, 2012.
Geth Assault Rifle
Picked up during Tali's recruitment mission at Haestrom on Hardcore or Insanity difficulty setting. The rifle can be found in the same room Tali is in, after destroying the Geth Colossus. The difficulty should be changed before or immediately after landing on the planet.
M-8 Avenger
This is the default assault rifle acquired during the Freedom's Progress mission at the beginning of the game, provided the player is a Soldier. This weapon can be acquired later on for other classes by accepting assault rifle specialization on the Collector Cruiser.
M-15 Vindicator
The M-15 Vindicator is found on a couch in the room where Shepard meets Archangel on Omega.
M-37 Falcon
Found on the Cerberus space station. After you launch the fighter into wall, it is on the ground between the destroyed wall and the active door, somewhat closer to the destroyed section. If missed, it can then be found via the requisitions console in the Cargo Bay.
M-55 Argus (DLC)
The Argus will be available to all players who pre-order a copy of Mass Effect 3, except in Australia where the Argus is exclusive to EB Games and Origin.
M-76 Revenant
The M-76 Revenant is only usable by Commander Shepard if Shepard is of the Soldier class and chooses it during the Collector Ship mission.
M-96 Mattock
Available through purchase of the Firepower Pack DLC.
M-99 Saber
Can be obtained in Sanctuary in the damaged room shortly after the horizontal lift in one of the husk pods by manually opening the pods with an override console on the opposite end of the room from the Saber.
N7 Valkyrie (DLC)
The N7 Valkyrie is included in the N7 Warfare Gear pack as a retail bonus item for players who pre-order either edition of the game from certain retailers. A full list of retailers offering the item is expected to be announced in the future.
Particle Rifle (DLC)
The Particle Rifle is obtained after completion of the DLC level Priority: Eden Prime from salvaged items that Cerberus left behind.
Phaeston
The Phaeston is available during Tuchanka: Turian Platoon. It is lying on the ground fairly early in the mission, after the first harvester, and before the second. On the ground next to a dead turian, near an SMG Ultralight Materials upgrade.
HEAVY PISTOLS
Arc Pistol
Found in the very beginning of the mission to disable the Reaper Signal on the Geth Dreadnought. It's hard to miss.
M-3 Predator
This is a reliable, accurate sidearm. Effective versus armor, but weak versus shields and biotic barriers. This weapon is obtainable in a locker at the start of
M-5 Phalanx
Highly accurate and lethal sidearm. Effective against armor, weak against shields and biotic barriers. Upgrades the Predator heavy pistol. Available through purchase of the Firepower Pack DLC.
M-6 Carnifex
The M-6 can be obtained while recruiting Mordin Solus on Omega. Mordin gives it to Shepard when the commander arrives at the clinic. He tells Shepard it was from a dead Blue Suns mercenary.
M-77 Paladin
Can be bought from the Spectre Requisitions on the Citadel, Embassies level, for 200,000 credits.
M-358 Talon
Found during Priority: The Citadel II inside a locked room. The door control is found in the nearby room used to circumvent a malfunctioning door.
N7 Eagle
The N7 Eagle is included in the N7 Collector's Edition Pack as a bonus item for players who order the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3.
Scorpion
In the corner next to the power switch during the Female Krogan rescue mission on Sur'Kesh.
HEAVY WEAPONS
M-100 Grenade Launcher
Miranda instructs you to pick up this weapon just before the lift during Prologue: Awakening.
SHOTGUNS
AT12 Raider Shotgun
The Raider is available to players who pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 over EA's Origin service. It is available on PC versions of Mass Effect 3 only.
Disciple
In the Ardat-Yakshi monastery, in one of the rooms next after speaking with Samara and her daughter.
Geth Plasma Shotgun
Available through purchase of the Firepower Pack DLC. This weapon can be used by Grunt, Jack, Jacob and Tali.
Graal Spike Thrower
Found during the mission Priority: Tuchanka after getting out of the Tomkah, next to a Krogan near the safety rail. It can also be purchased for 7000 credits from Cipritine Armory on the Citadel if you miss finding it on Tuchanka after Priority: The Citadel II.
M-11 Wraith
Can be bought from the Spectre Requisitions on the Citadel, Embassies level, for 250.000 credits.
M-22 Eviscerator
Cerberus Network DLC. This weapon can be used by Grunt, Jack, Jacob and Tali.
M-23 Katana
Automatically granted on Freedom's Progress if Shepard is of the Soldier or Vanguard class, or if Shepard has Shotgun advanced training.
M-27 Scimitar
Found during Samara's recruitment mission on Illium. It is located in the room with a weapons locker, after taking the elevator to the mercenary base, and fighting through the first wave of Eclipse mercenaries. The room also has a hallway that leads to Elnora's hiding place. If the first Scimitar is missed, a second one can be found in the room prior to the Gunship fight. A third M-27 Scimitar can be found after your encounter with Niftu Cal, just before the final encounter with Captain Wasea. If the weapon is not picked up at any of these locations, it will be awarded at the end of the mission.
M-300 Claymore
If playing as a Soldier or a Vanguard, the player will have the option of acquiring this during the Collector Ship mission. After recruiting Grunt, asking him about upgrades will make the M-300 available for research as a weapon for him. Only Grunt can use this Claymore.
N7 Crusader
The N7 Crusader is included in the N7 Collector's Edition Pack as a bonus item for players who order the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3.
SNIPER RIFLES
Black Widow
Can be bought from the Spectre Requisitions on the Citadel, Embassies level, for 250.000 credits. This can be reduced through certain upgrades acquired from certain intel.
Javelin
Opt to rescue Admiral Koris in Rannoch. Will be hard to miss during the path.
M-13 Raptor
Mission on Sur' Kesh on a bench before the door of the last checkpoint. Also available from Batarian State Arms in Docking Bay E24.
M-90 Indra
The M-90 Indra is acquired by obtaining a redeemable code from a promotional giveaway by Alienware. The code is valid for PC versions of Mass Effect 3 only.
M-92 Mantis
At the beginning of Priority: Mars. The Mantis is a powerful sniper rifle able to take out most targets in a single shot. It's incredibly accurate at long range, but rate of fire is slow. Manufactured by Devlon Industries, the Mantis is primarily used by police and planetary militia groups.
M-97 Viper
The M-97 can be found during Thane's recruitment mission, near the service elevator that takes you to the bridge. The rifle is in a dead-end corridor, to the right of the elevator, when your back is against its door. If missed, it can be also acquired later in the same mission, next to the Comm Terminal just before going to the roof. If the weapon is not picked up at any of these locations, it will be awarded at the end of the mission.
M-98 Widow
The Widow is acquired as one of three possible weapons on the Collector Ship mission for Soldiers and Infiltrators. This allows Shepard to use the weapon. Conversing with Legion about upgrades will make the weapon available for research. Only Legion can use this Widow.
N7 Valiant
The N7 Valiant is included in the N7 Collector's Edition Pack as a bonus item for players who order the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3.
SUBMACHINE GUNS
M-4 Shuriken
Automatically granted for all classes except the Soldier during the mission on Freedom's Progress.
M-9 Tempest
The Tempest is acquired from a dead quarian during Tali's recruitment mission. Make sure to pick it up before you answer the quarian radio. If you ever miss that one for whatever reason, you may have your second chance to pick up the Tempest in the room blocked by a pillar (which you have to blow up), where you can talk to Tali by radio.
M-12 Locust
The M-12 Locust can be found during Kasumi's loyalty mission in Donovan Hock's vault on the table with the graybox. If the weapon is not picked up, it will be awarded at the end of the mission. Kasumi refers to it as "the gun that killed two presidents."
M-25 Hornet
Found on the body of a dead C-Sec officer during the mission Priority: The Citadel II. After exiting the elevator, proceed down the hall to the second flickering light. Also available from Batarian State Arms in the Docks: Holding Area.
N7 Hurricane
The N7 Hurricane is included in the N7 Collector's Edition Pack as a bonus item for players who order the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3.
